Get Involved

A more compassionate community starts with everyday action.

You can stand with survivors by listening without judgment, respecting their choices, learning about domestic and sexual violence, and sharing trusted information when it is safe.

Learn and share

Explore the independent support resources on our homepage. Visit the providers’ own websites for current information before passing a resource to someone else. Ask before sharing another person’s story or identifying details.

Express interest in volunteering

If you would like to contribute your time or skills to Start Biting, email info@startbiting.org with the subject “Volunteer interest.” Briefly describe your skills, interests, general availability, and a safe way to contact you. Please do not send identification documents, background-check records, or sensitive personal information in an initial inquiry.

This is an invitation to express interest. It does not confirm an available position, volunteer placement, training schedule, or role supporting survivors directly. Specific opportunities and any requirements will be shared when established.

Explore a collaboration

Organizations and community members can send proposals for awareness activities, resource sharing, or other collaboration to info@startbiting.org with the subject “Community collaboration.” Include a short description of your organization or idea, your goals, and a contact method. A proposal does not establish a partnership or confirm that Start Biting can participate.
